Enhanced Language Training for Entrepreneurs
Aug 23, 2010 to Oct 15, 2010 - The Enhanced Language Training (ELT) Program for Entrepreneurs provides training and support at NO COST to permanent residents and convention refugees looking to establish their own business in the Windsor-Essex County.
Eligibility requirement: English proficiency assessed at LINC Level 5 and above.
The new session begins on August 23, 2010 and includes 8 weeks of in-class training followed by 4-weeks of voluntary work placement in a local business or community agency - a work setting matched to client’s interest and goals.
Program Highlights: Business Writing; Business Plan Development; Canadian Business Culture, Etiquette and Standards; Organizational Structure and Organizational Behavior; Business Laws, Financing, Accounting, Marketing and Management for Small Businesses; Public Speaking Skills Development; Microsoft Office 2007 - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and more
Childcare for children 18 months to 6 years of age is provided at no cost. Transportation assistance is available to clients who qualify.
