Essex and Kent Scottish Regiment
The Essex and Kent Scottish Regiment invite children to bring their families to Dieppe Gardens in downtown, Windsor 19 August for the historic unveiling and dedication of the Dieppe Memorial. This family-centered event will honour and remember the Regimental Fallen of 19 August 1942. Guests are asked to assemble in Dieppe Gardens for 12:30 pm. and to bring their lawn chairs. Dedication will take place at 1:00 p.m. where Veterans and children will walk hand-in-hand into Dieppe Gardens with the peel of the bagpipes and the roll of the drums calling all to reflect, remember and honour those who came back home but most importantly those from southwestern, Ontario who rest in foreign soil.
