A St. Clair Christmas 2009
Dec 17, 2009 to Dec 19, 2009 - Combine nuns and orphans with cabaret singers, palm trees, jolly old St. Nick and celebrate a tropical Christmas in Paris in the 1940’s! This musical theatre extravaganza links traditional Christmas carols with musical traditions ranging from Benny Goodman to famed rock band, Queen!
An intense explosion of song, dance and special effects, traversing decades and continents to celebrate the spirit of Christmas with warm-hearted enthusiasm and a wacky, off-beat sense humour.
Renowned Canadian director Katherine Kaszas knows how to ring in the season with comedy and nostalgia. This stellar production is supported by creative choreography from Melissa Williams of So You Think You Can Dance Canada, superb musical direction by Windsor’s own Mike Karloff, a truly spectacular display of pyrotechnics by technical director Dan Rehel, lighting design by Renee Brode (most recently at the Grand Theatre in London), and stage management consultation by Julie Miles, from Stratford Festival. And, of course, the main ingredient for a successful production: a supremely talented cast and crew of students from the St. Clair College Performing Arts Program. A St. Clair Christmas 2009 literally and figuratively explodes with variety, life and entertainment value!
