Gift of Life Relay Walk Run
Sep 23, 2009 to Sep 27, 2009 - The third annual “Gift of Life” relay walk/run starts at London’s Health Science Centre at University Hospital on Wednesday September 23rd and finishes at the Ciociaro Club at 3745 North Talbot Rd. in Windsor on Saturday September 26, 2009. On the next day, Sunday September 27, 2009, there will be a dinner served to celebrate the gift of life (3pm-6pm with cocktails at 3pm and dinner at 4pm.) We will be honouring the lives of George Rocheleau and Jim McAfrey (Jim is recently deceased) Both lived over 20 years after having life saving heart transplants. George’s daughter Karen Rocheleau is a competitive long distant runner and is organizing a marathon relay run from Tilbury to Windsor. Her running group is paying tribute to organ donor families, on the same Saturday as the walkers are arriving from London.
