Apr 29, 2009 to May 3, 2009 - Windsor Theatre Festival Presents ’Proof’ by David Auburn. The Tony award winning piece tells the story of Catherine, a young woman who grew up in the shadows of a brilliant mathematician: her father, Robert. As his genius slips away with his mind and Robert succumbs to Schizophrenia, Catherine puts her own dreams aside to care for her father. But when a major mathematical proof is discovered in their house on the eve of his death, Robert leaves behind a mystery. As Catherine, her sister, Claire, and Robert’s former protégé, Hal, struggle to put together the pieces of the puzzle, the question becomes: just how much of her father’s brilliance, or his madness, has Catherine inherited?
Proof runs April 25th - May 10th. Performances Wed through Sunday. Sunday’s performances’ are matinees. The performance takes place in the Studio Theatre, located in the Jackman Dramatic Art Centre.
