90th Anniversary of Armistice Day -Art & Artifacts
Nov 6, 2008 - To commemorate the 90th Anniversary of the end of World War I, one of several special events happening in the community in Oct/Nov.
This special exhibit of World War I Art and Artifacts, takes place both indoors and outdoors at the AGW this evening. Indoor exhibits include paintings, graphics, photography, books uniforms and artifacts. Outdoor exhibits feature vintage vehicles, WWI field gear, trench wall sections, WWI weaponry, cavalry display. All displays will be interpreted and demonstrated by uniformed re-enactors and other knowledgeable personnel.
These exhibits will be open for school tours only on Thurs.Nov.6 and Fri.Nov.7. An excellent idea for a half-day field trip! Reserve a time for your school group early, (space is limited), by contacting Karen Barnes at 519-988-1826 or kpbarnesmmi@hotmail.com
